The fourth annual Loyola Blakefield Cyber Challenge is an exciting event for all participants, new and experienced. It will take place online on Jan. 30, 2021, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., with awards given out shortly after. The competition is created by Loyola students for students all across the nation. Participants will be tasked with solving challenges on a wide variety of topics, all pertinent to real-life cyber threats prevalent in today’s society. Whether this is your first introduction into the world of cyber security, or you’ve mastered many skills of computer management, this competition is open to you. The challenge is designed to both teach and assess competitors’ abilities to think outside the box when handling cyber threats and solving cryptographic puzzles. A Loyola student staff will be on hand to provide assistance and ensure the contest runs fluently. If you’ve ever been interested in or curious about cyber security, LBC2 is an excellent opportunity to try it out.

The competition is open to all students grades 8 through 12 at no cost! The only hardware requirement is a computer or laptop capable of wirelessly accessing the internet.
