  • Social and Emotional Information

Gifted children need to have their social and emotional health nurtured along with their intellect. Because of their unique learning needs, gifted children may be at risk for specific social-emotional difficulties. These may include heightened awareness, anxiety, perfectionism, stress, issues with peer relationships, and concerns with identity. Families and educators can work together to support the social and emotional growth of gifted children.
